Global Head of Business

 

 

Reporting to the Group HQ in Europe, your main responsibilities are:

  • Global responsibility for the segment.
  • Align regional strategies with global objectives and overall Group Strategy, ensuring coherence and synergy across all markets.
  • Lead the end-to-end product development lifecycle, from concept ideation to product launch and post-launch enhancements.
  • Work closely with engineering and design teams to translate product requirements into detailed specifications, ensuring feasibility and alignment with technical capabilities.
  • Conduct regular product performance evaluations, collect customer feedback, and drive continuous improvement efforts.
  • Monitor industry trends, competitor activities, and emerging technologies to identify opportunities for innovation and product enhancements.
  • Maintain strong relationships with key customers, partners, and stakeholders globally, with a focus on the end consumer’s preferences and expectations.
  • Oversee global operations, ensuring efficiency, quality, and profitability across all regions.
  • Drive global sales growth through effective sales strategies, channel development, and customer relationship management.
  • Lead global marketing initiatives to build brand awareness and enhance market presence.
  • Collaborate with regional sales leaders to identify and pursue new business opportunities.
  • Build, lead, and mentor a high-performing global team across various functions including sales, marketing, operations, and customer service.
  • Develop and manage global budgets, forecasts, and financial plans to achieve financial targets.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and company policies worldwide.
  • Based in South Africa or prepared to move there. International travel to be expected.

 

Your profile :

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field; MBA preferred.
  • Minimum 10 years’ experience in a senior management role in the automotive aftermarket, recreational, or a related industry, with at least 5 years in a global leadership position.
  • Relevant background in business focused on products and solutions for leisure niches.
  • Proven track record of achieving business growth and profitability on a global scale. Demonstrated success in owning and managing a full P&L and balance sheet.
  • Proven track record of Category Management expertise. Ability to come up with a Product vision and strategy and translate into assortment plans and clear briefings to Design and Development teams.
  • Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in developing, implementing, and achieving KPI’s and operating metrics that are aligned with the companies short and long-term growth plans.
  • Excellent leadership and team-building abilities.
  • Superior communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a matrix organization.
  • Fluent business English.
