Head of Business Control and Finance

Business Area Service & Aftermarket (SAM) EMEA

 

Position

As Head of Business Control, Finance, Accounting and Reporting for this Business Area, you are responsible for supporting the Head of the Business Area SAM EMEA (based in France) as a true business partner by offering proactive analysis and financial insights. You will help drive profitability for the Business Area and support developing the strategy to provide a first-class service & aftermarket offering. You will be a trusted partner to the business leader and his management team, and coach and support your finance team.

You will prepare management reporting for the Business Area and be responsible for driving the implementation of new measurements and KPI´s to ensure financial health. This role will work very closely with the Head of the Business Area and his management team, with a dotted line to the Sub-Segment CFO based in Sweden.

This role involves developing the financial control model and ensures the availability of relevant information needed for optimal decision-making. The position is based at Dometic’s office in Chamant (60).

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Business Orientation: Collaborate with business managers to align financial strategies with business goals. Understand market trends and their impact on the business, providing strategic recommendations. Provide pro-active analytics and financial insight related to the Business Area organization, products, customers, sales channels, projects and activities including market and macro data.
  • Decision Support: Provide financial data and analysis to support senior management in decision-making. Evaluate new business opportunities, cost cutting measures, and investment/divestment impacts.
  • Performance Monitoring: Track financial performance against targets and provide regular reports. Identify areas for improvement and pro-actively recommend corrective actions.
  • Financial Accounting and Reporting: Define and ensure requirements are clear for financial accounting and reporting in collaboration with the Accounting and Record to Report function. Oversee the preparation and maintenance of accurate financial records. Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting in compliance with relevant standards and regulations. Manage month-end, quarter-end and year-end financial processes.
  • Team manager: Lead and mentor a Business Controlling team and Finance and Accounting team for the Business Area SAM.

Travel: Travel across EMEA is necessary to build close relationships and trust as an advisor to business leaders and align financial goals with business objectives.

 

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, we believe that you possess the following skills, competencies & characteristics:

  • Bachelor`s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field (Master is a plus).
  • Minimum 2-3 years’ experience from big audit firm, plus minimum 5-8 years of experience in business controlling, finance management, analysis, strategic planning, and finance business partnering in an international context.
  • Experience from a leadership role within a business segment or sub-segment.
  • Experience from service and aftermarket business is a big plus
  • Excellent analytical, financial modelling, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
  • Solid experience from financial software and ERP systems.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Business acumen.
  • Ability to independently coach and influence regional business leaders for the Business Area.
  • Ability to manage complex financial data with accuracy and attention to details.
  • Effective team-player with the ability to work cross-functionally.
  • Adaptable to fast-paced environment.
  • Skilled in identifying and leveraging key business drivers for improved performance.
  • Fluent in English (both spoken and written).
