Regional Business Control and Finance Manager DACH (m/f/d)

 

 

Position

As a Regional Business Control and Finance Manager for Germany, Austria and Switzerland, you will be responsible for managing, developing and optimizing business controlling for the Sales region, as well as finance, accounting and reporting activities for Germany/Austria/Switzerland and the European Distribution Center (EDC) located in Emsdetten.

The role also includes the management and development of the local finance / accounting and controlling team, with a strong focus on capability building, prioritization and continuous improvement.
This is a senior finance business partner role, requiring the ability to combine strategic perspective with strong operational and analytical execution. You will play a key role in supporting and influencing business decisions, challenging the organization when needed, and translating financial data into clear and actionable insights.

The role requires someone able to provide a strong financial storyline, connecting performance, risks, opportunities and strategic priorities in a clear and impactful way.

A finance transformation and the adoption of new finance ways of working linked to Dometic’s organizational set-up is also a crucial part of the role.

We are therefore looking for someone with a true builder mindset – someone who is comfortable operating in an environment where finance /controlling still needs to be further developed and structured, and who is motivated by creating, improving and embedding robust ways of working over time.

You will work closely with the sales, EDC and finance teams to ensure accurate financial planning, budgeting and forecasting, contributing to the overall financial health and performance of the region. The position is based in Emsdetten, Germany.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Sales and Profitability Analysis: Analyze sales and market data to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement.
  • Performance Monitoring: Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPI´s) to track the financial performance of the operations.
  • Financial Reporting: Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial report for the sales and EDC operations.
  • Budgeting and Forecasting: Develop and manage the budgeting and forecasting processes for the region, ensuring alignment with corporate objectives.
  • Cost control: Implement and maintain cost control measures to optimize profitability.
  • Process Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of financial reporting and analysis.
  • Travel: Some travel across the geography is necessary to build close relationships and trust as an advisor to business leaders and align financial goals with business objectives.

 

 Qualifications 

  • Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or a related field (Master’s degree is a plus).
  • Solid experience in business and financial controlling, ideally gained in an international environment and in close interaction with senior business stakeholders.
  • Proven track record in finance business partnering, with the ability to influence decisions and challenge the business in a constructive way.
  • Strong understanding of financial planning, performance management, profitability analysis and reporting.
  • Good knowledge of ERP systems and excellent command of Excel.
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to move from a high-level strategic view to detailed analysis when needed.
  • Ability to work effectively in a matrix organization and across multiple stakeholders.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to present a clear and compelling financial narrative.
  • Fluent in English, both spoken and written
